Customizing Your Bloggie Lite - Appearance

With creative mind you can do wonders, as such Bloggie Lite provide you the flexibility to have your own unique blog's appearance by altering some files or changing to a different bloggie lite template downloaded from the internet.

There are 2 easy ways to customize your blog's appearance.

1. Simple Method : Changing to a different theme (template downloaded from the internet) via administrator CP.
2. Intermediate Method : Altering tpl & css files, HTML & CSS Knowledge is needed

Changing to a different ready made template theme

1. Download a ready made template from Bloggie Lite's website
2. Upload your downloaded theme into the templates folder eg: "yourblog/templates/alpinia" if your downloaded theme = alpinia
3. Log into your Administration Panel
4. Click options -> settings
5. Under the "Style/Theme used for your blog" key in -> alpinia as shown below
   
   

   

6. Click "Sumbit buttom" & you are done.



Creating your own style/template/theme

1. Create a duplicate of the default or current theme used for Bloggie Lite under the templates folder
2. Rename to different name. In this example we will used "scilia" as the new template name. Rename the css file under the same theme name. For this example we will rename it to scilia.css
3. Start to make changes to the "tpl" files & css file accordingly. Please do not delete any of those {}.
4. Log into your Administration Panel
5. Click options -> settings
6. Under the "Style/Theme used for your blog" key in -> scilia
7. Click "Sumbit button" & Return to the index page to see the changes you have made. You have just create your own Bloggie Lite's template theme named "scilia"
